Imagine this scenario; for the past fortnight you've been holidaying in the UK - it may have been the final leg of a world tour, or a trip to see family friends. It's the final day of the trip and you're hard at work packing when you realise something very inconvenient - there are far too many souvenirs and gifts for those back home to pack. It's not difficult to do - some local food stuff that will allow you to cook up a version of that special holiday meal once you're back home, a commemorative t-shirt or two, various gifts for the family back in Limassol - it all adds up. In the past this would have been an absolute disaster. The suitcase refuses to fasten, you've crammed every pocket and your hand luggage is in danger of going overweight, yet still you're surrounded by extra stuff. Years ago the only genuine option would have been to leave lots of bits and pieces behind, since shipping to Limassol would have been both highly expensive and extremely time consuming.
