A shipment to Japan is deemed unacceptable if: it is classified as
hazardous material, dangerous goods, prohibited or restricted articles by IATA (International Air
Transport Association), ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organisation) or other relevant organisation.
Many items which appear harmless in everyday use can pose danger on air transport and are consequently
forbidden for transport.
The following page displays a sampling of common prohibited and restricted goods.
Your parcel must be boxed and well packaged. This will reduce the risk of damage to any item during
transit or any associated automated distribution process.
Please be aware the item is not taken by hand from collection to destination and will visit many sorted
facilities on its journey. For that reason, you need to protect the items to ensure they make it from A

At RapidParcel.com we like to think we present our customers with the best of both worlds – a service that is both comprehensive yet simple to use, and couriers who are the best in their field at prices that won’t break the bank. For our corporate customers wishing to arrange shipping to Yokohama on a regular basis, the combination of our size and the scale of our operations with individual service, will let you know that every one of our customers is valued.
The whole of Japan is, of course, a key destination for corporate goods and paperwork being shipped from the UK and Yokohama is one of the country’s leading cities. Second in size only to the capital city of Tokyo, Yokohama has a population of over three and a half million people and has been a vital seaport since the mid-19th century. With a strong industrial base incorporating the semiconductor, biotechnology and shipping fields, there are numerous reasons why corporate customers might need to organise a Yokohama package delivery on an ongoing and regular basis.
RapidParcel.com is rightly renowned for the care they take with each individual package. If you’re making a one-off delivery for personal reasons, then RapidParcel.com will remove all the stress from what may seem quite a daunting task and allow you to book your Yokohama shipping quickly and simply. Our size and experience, however, mean that we are just as capable when dealing with corporate customers and handling the particular challenges that bulk shipping to Yokohama might throw up.
The advantages of a free account
Corporate account holders will have access to preferential rates for certain volumes of business and, for selected customers, we offer corporate credit facilities, which provide another level of reassurance. We like to think, however, that, no matter how large we are, we never forget that all our customers, even the larger corporate customers, are individuals in their own right. This is best illustrated by the fact that your Yokohama shipping will be arranged with completely dedicated personal support. You’ll be given a direct dial phone number for a named member of staff whose job it is to answer any questions you may have, reassure you when concerns arise and help on the very rare occasions when problems might arise. This is allied to the rest of the aftercare services we provide for your Yokohama parcel delivery; things like a dedicated blog and comprehensive tracking in and out of every depot between the UK and the destination in Yokohama or, indeed, Tokyo, should you wish to make a parcel delivery to Tokyo.
It’s what we like to think of as the best of both worlds – the safety and security of knowing that you’re in the hands of one of the largest and most firmly established courier companies in the world, allied to the hands-on approach you might expect from a small family business.
The prices in the table below are just samples but they illustrate the value we offer to every customer when they ship with us. Our Rapid Quote form is your route to discovering exactly what is on offer for your delivery. Just a few questions to answer and you’ll be presented with all the services and rates on offer to you.
