Shipments delivered via Rapid Express Saver will not necessarily be delivered to the addressee personally. The Carrier may deliver a package to the addressee shown on the barcode label or to any other person appearing to have authority to accept delivery of the package on the addressee's behalf (such as persons at the same premises as the addressee or neighbours of the addressee). When shipping to residential address, if the drop off location is in a 'safe' area, then the courier driver will leave the parcel at your doorstep.
Personal effects consignments may be subject to import transaction fees and a charge for customs clearance processing prior to clearance. Expect clearance delays for up to 48 hours. Customer should fill out form B534 (UNACCOMPANIED PERSONAL EFFECTS STATEMENT) for personal effects older than 12 months and include with invoices to help with clearance.
New personal effects (or less than 12 months) declared on the B534 form will be held by AU Customs pending duty & GST payable. This duty/GST is separate to the $150 +10% GST personal effect Clearance Processing fee.

Goods travelling by 'Cargo' are subject to different restrictions to those travelling as carry-on luggage.
A shipment to Australia is deemed unacceptable if: it is classified as hazardous material, dangerous goods, prohibited or restricted articles by IATA (International Air Transport Association), ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organisation) or other relevant organisation. Many items which appear harmless in everyday use can pose danger on air transport and are consequently forbidden for transport.
The following page displays a sampling of common prohibited and restricted goods.
Your parcel must be boxed and well packaged. This will reduce the risk of damage to any item during transit or any associated automated distribution process.
Please be aware the item is not taken by hand from collection to destination and will visit many sorted facilities on its journey. For that reason, you need to protect the items to ensure they make it from A to B safely.
The following packaging guidelines are recommendations to assist you in packaging your shipment:
When you book a shipping service to Australia, you will be able to choose an appropriate level of cover for your shipment. We offer enhanced parcel protection for up to £2000 for a small additional fee.
If you do not purchase enhanced Shipment Protection, your shipment will be only covered to a maximum value of £50 as per the limited liability set out in our Terms & Conditions and subject to your parcel passing minimum packaging requirements.
Please note that the declared value for customs purposes is not related to the declared value selected for Shipment Protection. We encourage all customers to purchase shipment protection cover for loss or damage.

Whether travelling around the world, studying overseas, enjoying a gap year or deciding to live in a different country altogether, people are more willing than ever before to journey abroad. While this has many positive aspects, one downside is that families can be separated by thousands of miles, with personal relationships strained as a result. Geelong is a port city in Victoria, Australia. It was established as a city in 1910 and, although it has had periods of industrial growth and decline, redevelopment and regeneration since the ‘90s has seen the population growing at a rate higher than the national average. Every year, more than six million tourists are drawn to Geelong by the likes of the Ford Discovery Centre, the National Wool Museum and the Waterfront Precinct on the shores of Corio Bay.
Perhaps one of your children is studying in Geelong and wants a taste of home to stop them feeling homesick, or the birthday of a much loved grandchild has come around and you want to send a package delivery to Geelong to let them know you’re thinking of them. At times like these, a delivery, carefully shipped and handed over in person by a professional courier, is worth a thousand words and, when you’re picturing the reaction of your loved one when they take delivery of your shipment, you’ll want to know your Geelong package delivery is in the safest hands possible.
