Shipments delivered via Rapid Express Saver will not necessarily be delivered to the addressee personally. The Carrier may deliver a package to the addressee shown on the barcode label or to any other person appearing to have authority to accept delivery of the package on the addressee's behalf (such as persons at the same premises as the addressee or neighbours of the addressee). When shipping to residential address, if the drop off location is in a 'safe' area, then the courier driver will leave the parcel at your doorstep.
Personal effects consignments may be subject to import transaction fees and a charge for customs clearance processing prior to clearance. Expect clearance delays for up to 48 hours. Customer should fill out form B534 (UNACCOMPANIED PERSONAL EFFECTS STATEMENT) for personal effects older than 12 months and include with invoices to help with clearance.
New personal effects (or less than 12 months) declared on the B534 form will be held by AU Customs pending duty & GST payable. This duty/GST is separate to the $150 +10% GST personal effect Clearance Processing fee.
Before sending your parcel to Australia, please make sure that none of the items in your parcels contravene the restrictions imposed by customs at destination.

In addition to Customs, the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF) manages quarantine controls to minimise the risk of diseases entering the country.

After you have paid for a shipping service to Australia, you will be redirected to a page where you can download and print out the relevant shipping labels, i.e
AWB (Courier Air Waybills - barcode) - Proforma or Commercial invoice - Address label.
The above documents are standard for any international shipment.
Please note, if additional documentation is required for the import of any particular item, it is the customer's responsibility to provide them at destination.
Goods travelling by 'Cargo' are subject to different restrictions to those travelling as carry-on luggage.
A shipment to Australia is deemed unacceptable if: it is classified as hazardous material, dangerous goods, prohibited or restricted articles by IATA (International Air Transport Association), ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organisation) or other relevant organisation. Many items which appear harmless in everyday use can pose danger on air transport and are consequently forbidden for transport.
The following page displays a sampling of common prohibited and restricted goods.
Your parcel must be boxed and well packaged. This will reduce the risk of damage to any item during transit or any associated automated distribution process.
Please be aware the item is not taken by hand from collection to destination and will visit many sorted facilities on its journey. For that reason, you need to protect the items to ensure they make it from A to B safely.
The following packaging guidelines are recommendations to assist you in packaging your shipment:
When you book a shipping service to Australia, you will be able to choose an appropriate level of cover for your shipment. We offer enhanced parcel protection for up to £2000 for a small additional fee.
If you do not purchase enhanced Shipment Protection, your shipment will be only covered to a maximum value of £50 as per the limited liability set out in our Terms & Conditions and subject to your parcel passing minimum packaging requirements.
Please note that the declared value for customs purposes is not related to the declared value selected for Shipment Protection. We encourage all customers to purchase shipment protection cover for loss or damage.

At the heart of our courier comparison and booking service are certain basic principles – excellence, customer service, value for money and professionalism. Underpinning all these, however, is our commitment to choice, something you’ll recognise as soon as you come to arrange a package delivery to Hobart with us. At every step of the process of booking your delivery, you’ll be asked to make informed choices between excellent options, which will allow you to tailor your Hobart parcel delivery to precisely suit your needs.
Hobart is the capital of Tasmania, and as such is the financial and administrative centre of this island off the southern coast of Australia. The city is a busy seaport which, in the summer months, plays host to as many as 40 cruise liners. Many tourists visit Hobart itself, drawn by attractions such as a lively nightlife and many highly acclaimed restaurants. As such, tourism is the biggest industry in the city, although it does also support shipbuilding, beer brewing and a Cadbury factory that supplies most of the company’s chocolate for the entire Southern Hemisphere.
Delivery your way with the carrier of your choice
Once you’ve decided you need to make a parcel delivery to Hobart, whether it’s for personal or commercial reasons, you’ll have to start by choosing a courier to trust with your Hobart shipping. This is the first choice that RapidParcel.com presents to the customer. We work with the world’s leading couriers, so you’ll be choosing from a list of the very best there are, rather than having to seek out a courier on your own behalf and hoping you got lucky with your choice. That’s only the first of many choices we provide for you.
Among these choices are the options to book your Hobart package delivery via our website, or by using our innovative mobile-optimised website (Mobisite) whilst you’re on the move. Then we allow customers to choose where we collect your Hobart parcel delivery from – rather than waiting in for us to call round you can arrange for us to pick up your parcel from any accessible address in the UK. When it comes to paying for your shipping to Hobart we work with WorldPay, one of the world’s leading providers of secure, safe online payment systems, which means you get to pick one of several different payment methods, opting for whichever is the most convenient.
It could be that having to make all these choices might feel overwhelming, but choice is offered alongside ease of use, with our website laid out in such a logical, user-friendly manner that making the right choice at each step will be simplicity itself. Of course, the same applies to a parcel delivery to Newcastle or a Canberra package delivery. Once you’ve sent your Hobart shipping on its way you can choose to track its progress on our website or consult our dedicated blog for the latest Australian customs information. At every step of the way, the choice is yours.
As well as offering you the choice of the best carriers we do so at the best rates. Years at the forefront of the sector with those we are now proud to call our courier partners has given us a unique opportunity to negotiate rates that you simply will not find elsewhere.
