Shipments delivered via Rapid Express Saver will not necessarily be delivered to the addressee personally. The Carrier may deliver a package to the addressee shown on the barcode label or to any other person appearing to have authority to accept delivery of the package on the addressee's behalf (such as persons at the same premises as the addressee or neighbours of the addressee). When shipping to residential address, if the drop off location is in a 'safe' area, then the courier driver will leave the parcel at your doorstep.
Personal effects consignments may be subject to import transaction fees and a charge for customs clearance processing prior to clearance. Expect clearance delays for up to 48 hours. Customer should fill out form B534 (UNACCOMPANIED PERSONAL EFFECTS STATEMENT) for personal effects older than 12 months and include with invoices to help with clearance.
New personal effects (or less than 12 months) declared on the B534 form will be held by AU Customs pending duty & GST payable. This duty/GST is separate to the $150 +10% GST personal effect Clearance Processing fee.
Before sending your parcel to Australia, please make sure that none of the items in your parcels contravene the restrictions imposed by customs at destination.

In addition to Customs, the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF) manages quarantine controls to minimise the risk of diseases entering the country.

After you have paid for a shipping service to Australia, you will be redirected to a page where you can download and print out the relevant shipping labels, i.e
AWB (Courier Air Waybills - barcode) - Proforma or Commercial invoice - Address label.
The above documents are standard for any international shipment.
Please note, if additional documentation is required for the import of any particular item, it is the customer's responsibility to provide them at destination.
Goods travelling by 'Cargo' are subject to different restrictions to those travelling as carry-on luggage.
A shipment to Australia is deemed unacceptable if: it is classified as hazardous material, dangerous goods, prohibited or restricted articles by IATA (International Air Transport Association), ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organisation) or other relevant organisation. Many items which appear harmless in everyday use can pose danger on air transport and are consequently forbidden for transport.
The following page displays a sampling of common prohibited and restricted goods.
Your parcel must be boxed and well packaged. This will reduce the risk of damage to any item during transit or any associated automated distribution process.
Please be aware the item is not taken by hand from collection to destination and will visit many sorted facilities on its journey. For that reason, you need to protect the items to ensure they make it from A to B safely.
The following packaging guidelines are recommendations to assist you in packaging your shipment:
When you book a shipping service to Australia, you will be able to choose an appropriate level of cover for your shipment. We offer enhanced parcel protection for up to £2000 for a small additional fee.
If you do not purchase enhanced Shipment Protection, your shipment will be only covered to a maximum value of £50 as per the limited liability set out in our Terms & Conditions and subject to your parcel passing minimum packaging requirements.
Please note that the declared value for customs purposes is not related to the declared value selected for Shipment Protection. We encourage all customers to purchase shipment protection cover for loss or damage.

If you’ve come all the way from Cairns, Australia to travel around the UK then, in all probability, you’ll want to collect plenty of souvenirs of your trip to take back home again. Whether you’re a student backpacking your way from youth hostel to youth hostel, or a seasoned traveller stopping off in the UK on the last leg of a grand tour of Europe, you’ll find it all adds up. A keepsake here, a souvenir painting there, some T-shirts as gifts for your family back home and, before you know it, you’ve amassed too much to fit into your suitcase.
Either the case simply refuses to close or you’ve packed enough to take you way over your weight limit and bring about a hefty extra surcharge; neither one is the kind of thing you want to be worrying about during last minute packing for the long journey back home. Stuffing things into every available pocket isn’t going to help; there are still many valued mementoes that it looks like you’re going to have to leave behind. Or at least you would, if RapidParcel.com hadn’t made it so much simpler to arrange a delivery to Cairns.
Package delivery is now so much simpler than ever before
In the past, the idea of ending your holiday by having to arrange a delivery would have been quite simply unthinkable. The time taken and the prohibitive cost meant that it simply wouldn’t have been an option but, thanks to RapidParcel.com and our innovative approach to the whole area of international shipping, a package delivery is easily within the grasp of anyone who finds that they’ve got more than they can carry.
Our website is designed with ease of use in mind – six simple steps are all that it takes for you to arrange your Cairns shipping and the first of these is choosing from our list of experienced, tried and tested couriers. Once you’ve chosen the courier and deal that suit you best, and choosing that deal is made easier by the fact we’ve persuaded our couriers to offer rates so competitive you simply won’t find them anywhere else, you are then free to arrange to have your package collected from any accessible UK address. Amidst the stress of embarking on your journey home, this kind of flexibility is priceless.
Of course you could choose to drop your package off at one of our many drop-off locations at airports and rail stations across the country where fully trained professional staff can recommend packing and packaging, advise on services and carriers and store your items until the carrier is ready to pick them up.
No matter what’s in your parcel, whether it’s a piece of local artwork or an item of clothing you simply couldn’t find back home, you can be certain that it will be looked after by our couriers and, should you wish, you can be further reassured by making use of our shipment protection.
Whether it’s Cairns shipping, a package delivery to Townsville or a Geelong parcel delivery, let RapidParcel.com take your treasured souvenirs back home for you.
