Shipments delivered via Rapid Express Saver will not necessarily be delivered to the addressee personally. The Carrier may deliver a package to the addressee shown on the barcode label or to any other person appearing to have authority to accept delivery of the package on the addressee's behalf (such as persons at the same premises as the addressee or neighbours of the addressee). When shipping to residential address, if the drop off location is in a 'safe' area, then the courier driver will leave the parcel at your doorstep.
Personal effects consignments may be subject to import transaction fees and a charge for customs clearance processing prior to clearance. Expect clearance delays for up to 48 hours. Customer should fill out form B534 (UNACCOMPANIED PERSONAL EFFECTS STATEMENT) for personal effects older than 12 months and include with invoices to help with clearance.
New personal effects (or less than 12 months) declared on the B534 form will be held by AU Customs pending duty & GST payable. This duty/GST is separate to the $150 +10% GST personal effect Clearance Processing fee.

Goods travelling by 'Cargo' are subject to different restrictions to those travelling as carry-on
A shipment to Australia is deemed unacceptable if: it is classified as
hazardous material, dangerous goods, prohibited or restricted articles by IATA (International Air
Transport Association), ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organisation) or other relevant organisation.
Many items which appear harmless in everyday use can pose danger on air transport and are consequently
forbidden for transport.
The following page displays a sampling of common prohibited and restricted goods.
Your parcel must be boxed and well packaged. This will reduce the risk of damage to any item during
transit or any associated automated distribution process.
Please be aware the item is not taken by hand from collection to destination and will visit many sorted
facilities on its journey. For that reason, you need to protect the items to ensure they make it from A
to B safely.
The following packaging guidelines are recommendations to assist you in packaging your shipment:

Sometimes, the best way of saying thank you to someone is by sending them a gift and, when that requires overseas shipping, such as sending a package delivery to Darwin, then you’ll want to use a service which promises safe delivery, a simple booking process and a price that won’t break the bank. Our courier comparison and booking website offers all this and so much more for your parcel delivery to Darwin.
In the past, holidaying in Australia was an option simply not open to very many travellers; the distance and cost put most people off. In the modern age of cut-price plane travel, however, many more people are making the journey ‘Down Under’ and experiencing the delights of cities like Darwin. Capital of the Northern Territory, Darwin is one of Australia’s most modern cities, having been completely rebuilt not once but twice, the first time following air raids during the Second World War and then again in 1974, after it was more or less completely destroyed by Cyclone Tracy. Tourists flock to the city in large numbers; in 2005/6, more than 1.3 million people visited the region.
If you’ve just returned from a holiday in Darwin, it may be that you wish to send a parcel to say thank you to somebody who helped make your holiday a success. It could be a gift for someone who put you up for a few nights, or perhaps your parcel contains something to say thank you to new friends you’ve made. Perhaps you met some long lost family members and promised you’d send them a typically British gift upon your return home, and this is what you’re shipping to Darwin. Of course, it’s possible to say thank you via an email, a Twitter update or a Facebook status, but nothing quite gets the message across like a package delivery containing a gift you know the other person is going to truly appreciate.
